Speed Testing

To start your Internet Speed Testing click the Speed Test button. After a few seconds, the speed tester produces the following results: Download Speed and Upload Speed
  • Download speed – from our servers, through the Internet, to your computer.
  • Upload speed – from your computer, through the Internet, to our servers.
  • Both speeds in Kb/s, Mb/s, or Gb/s:
  • Kb/s = kilobits per second
  • Mb/s = megabits per second
  • Gb/s = gigabits per second
Ping Time Average time in milliseconds for a ping to go from your computer to our servers, and back. We send multiple pings and average ping times. Ping Time Jitter Ping-time jitter in milliseconds, is a measure of variability in ping times. This test pings our servers multiple times, from your computer. Jitter is the standard deviation of the ping time samples obtained during the ping test.

Caveats of Internet Speed Testing

Browsers Your browser can have a significant impact on your Internet download and upload speeds. Comparing the network performance of modern browsers, certain modern browsers yield as much as 50% better (faster) network performance than certain other modern browsers. Physical Location Physical distance between your computer and a server, can have a significant impact on download and upload speeds to that server. If your computer is located far from our servers, your Internet speed could be better to other servers nearer to you, than the speeds shown by this test.
