Memory Manager

Memory Manager Pop Up A pop up Memory Manager is available from the "Memory" menu item at the top of the page. The Memory Manager can be used on most pages of the website, and is designed to quickly and easily transfer data from the tools on one page to the tools on another page of the website. Memory Manager Function Buttons The Memory Manager includes several function buttons for convenience.   These function buttons operate directly on Memory contents. For example, to round a decimal number in memory to the nearest integer, simply click the "Round" button on the Memory Manager, and the decimal number in memory is rounded immediately. For more complex operations on memory contents, click the "Recall" button to load the memory contents into the Calculator, and use the rich set of Calculator functions to operate on the memory contents. Closing the Memory Manager When the Memory Manager pop up is opened, it remains open when navigating from one page to another within the website.   To close it:
  • Click the X ("Close This") button on the Memory Manager.
  • Click the X ("Close All") button at the top of the page to close all open pop ups.
  • Click the "Memory" menu item at the top of the page.

Storing to Memory Click the Store buttons to save the "Result" or "Answer" field value from a converter or calculator tool, to one of the two Memories. Some of the converter and calculator tools allow you to select the field that you want stored in Memory.   In that case, first click the field you want to store in Memory, then click the Store memory button. Recalling Memory Click the Recall buttons to load values stored in one of the Memories into your chosen tool's Input field. Some of the tools allow you to select the field that you want to load with Memory contents.   In that case, first click the field you want to load with Memory contents, then click the Recall memory button. Adding to Memory Click the Add buttons to add the "Result" or "Answer" field value of the tool to one of the two Memories. Some of the tools allow you to select the field that you want to add to Memory.   In that case, first click the field you want to add to Memory, then click the Add memory button. The Add buttons only add decimal numbers to memory.   If the source field contains a non-decimal number, clicking the Add buttons has no effect. Clearing Memory Click the Clear buttons to delete the contents of the Memories.   Note that empty Memory is not the same as Memory that contains the number zero.
